sir,
I am directed by Secretary Sir Austen Chamberlain to
state that he has been informed by the Anglo-French China
Corporation Limited that negotiations are in progress for a
loan from Hongkong to the Canton provincial government.
2. The Corporation allege that the securities for this
loan include certain public utilities which are already
provisionally pledged to them. The Secretary of State
will therefore be glad to be informed whether r.
Secretary Amery has any knowledge of the reported loan
negotiations.
The Under Secretary of State,
Colonial Office.
I am,
Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
Gange Mounsey
